Benjamin Satterley, better known to wrestling fans as PAC, has died at the age of 40. AEW announced his death Sunday night, just hours after he competed at All Out in Chicago on Saturday.
The promotion released the following statement.
“All Elite Wrestling is saddened to announce the passing of Benjamin Satterley, aka Pac. A native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley began his wrestling career in 2004 and went on to perform for wrestling organizations all over the world, captivating fans with innovative high-flying moves and incredible in-ring ability. Pac signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2019 and held multiple AEW Championships and competed in some of the most memorable matches in AEW history. Our condolences go out to Satterley’s family, friends and fans.”
AEW did not disclose a cause of death in its announcement.
Satterley wrestled his final match Saturday night at All Out, which was held at the NOW Arena in the Chicago area.
PAC opened the pay-per-view by challenging Andrade El Ídolo for the AEW National Championship and lost when Andrade reversed the Brutalizer into a pinfall. Later in the night, he also appeared during the main event between Will Ospreay and Jon Moxley.
Before coming to AEW, PAC had a prominent run in WWE as Neville. He won the NXT Championship in 2014 and held it for 286 days, and he was also a two-time WWE Cruiserweight Champion.
PAC joined AEW in 2019, and in 2022 he became the inaugural AEW All-Atlantic Champion. He also won the AEW World Trios Championship twice, first with Penta and Rey Fenix as Death Triangle and later alongside Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta.
