Bishop Dyer, formerly known as Baron Corbin in WWE, had his future thrown into question by MLW during the latest episode of Fusion.
Dyer is currently one-half of the MLW World Tag Team Champions alongside Donovan Dijak as The Skyscrapers. However, the promotion announced that Dyer is involved in a contract dispute that could directly affect the team’s title reign.
The situation was presented by Rich Bocchini, who reported major backstage tension between Dyer and MLW. According to Bocchini, Dyer is “playing hardball” in negotiations and has hired an agent viewed as problematic.
“We’re talking a $190,000 Range Rover signing bonus. A $2000 a night hotel suite. Even MLW investing in Dyer’s new coffee business. There’s negotiations and there’s whatever that is.”
Following reports of a potential upcoming WWE return, MLW announced today that Bishop Dyer (Baron Corbin) is in a "contract dispute" with the promotion:

Bocchini also said Court Bauer was traveling to Mexico City for meetings with CMLL, but noted that a decision on Dyer’s future will be made on next week’s episode of Fusion.
The timing is notable, as Dyer has been linked to a potential WWE return in recent weeks. Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio that his return had been heavily discussed internally, while Fightful Select reported that people in the industry believed he may have already signed or was close to signing.
Dyer himself downplayed those rumors in May, noting that he still had independent dates scheduled in Europe and that he was unaware his non-WWE commitments had already wrapped up.
