Blake Monroe appears to have picked a major target right out of the gate on WWE SmackDown. During Friday’s show, Monroe appeared in a new vignette and directed much of her message at Rhea Ripley.
In the video, Monroe praised Ripley’s presence and brutality, but claimed the current WWE Women’s Champion is hiding her own fears behind a false sense of intimidation.
“Dear diary, there are so many fascinating women in that SmackDown locker room. Take for example Rhea Ripley. Such presence, such brutality, such delicious misery wrapped in all that black leather.
“You are as captivating as can be, but while you spend all your time trying to strike fear into the hearts of others, I know you’re only hiding from your own. All that heartbreak and betrayal.
“I don’t need a fake bravado to make a splash. I turn heads just by showing up. You can run from your fears all you want but you can’t run from me. I’m the stuff of nightmares and I’m dressed as beautiful as a dream. Don’t get too comfortable, because the Glamour is coming to SmackDown. Yours truly, Blake Monroe.”
The jab comes at a major time for Ripley, who is set to defend the WWE Women’s Championship against Jade Cargill at Clash in Italy this Sunday, May 31, at the Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy.
