Britt Baker may be nearing her first AEW appearance in nearly two years, though her return to television has not been confirmed.
According to Sean Ross Sapp during the Fightful Select Answers Q&A, Baker’s name has come up in internal discussions surrounding the Rebel Heart Dynamite special on September 9. As of now, AEW has not officially announced her involvement.
The show will take place at Akins Ford Arena in Athens, Georgia, and will be dedicated to Tanea Brooks, known to fans as Rebel, who was diagnosed with ALS in March. Rebel is confirmed for a special appearance, and a portion of the event will benefit I AM ALS and Team Gleason.

12:18 PM · Aug 19, 2026Baker’s potential involvement carries added weight given her close relationship with Rebel. The former AEW Women’s World Champion counted Rebel among her closest allies during her run with the company. In late July, Baker visited Rebel, and the two even recreated their old “The Waiting Room” segment.
Baker hasn’t competed on AEW programming since November 13, 2024, when she defeated Penelope Ford on Dynamite. A post-match confrontation with Serena Deeb that night remains her last appearance on company television.
