Paul Heyman made a point to put over Oba Femi right after his hard-fought loss to Brock Lesnar at WWE Clash in Italy, held this Sunday, May 31, at Inalpi Arena in Turin.
During the event’s post-show, Heyman said Lesnar’s win should not be treated as anything surprising, since “The Beast” has been winning major matches for more than two decades.
To him, the real story was Femi losing a match, which was what actually mattered.
“I want to give credit where credit’s due. And the credit that I want to give is to Oba Femi because it’s not that big of a deal that Brock Lesnar won a match. Brock Lesnar has been winning matches for 24 years. […] But Oba Femi losing, that’s a big deal. And who caused Oba Femi to lose? Brock Lesnar.”
Lesnar needed seven F-5s to finally defeat Femi, who also managed to survive the famous Kimura Lock.
