Chelsea Green became the target of political criticism on social media after a recent WWE SmackDown segment involving Tiffany Stratton, Jade Cargill, Michin, and B-Fab.
The situation started after Green and Stratton recreated the Sophie Cunningham meme of pointing at another person, something some fans began associating with the MAGA movement.
On X, Green fired back at a comment claiming she supported the MAGA movement and made it clear that she would not accept that kind of accusation about her political views.
“I can handle you saying things about my looks or my talent but what you won’t do is spread lies about my political views. Since you’re so interested in spreading misinformation, here are the facts:
– I am a Canadian citizen
– I can’t vote in America
– I am not MAGA
– I am a liberal / democrat
– When I become a citizen, I will vote for a president who believes in equal human rights”
Green had already faced criticism in May, when she was announced for UFC Freedom 250 Fan Fest, a TKO-related event held at the White House. At the time, some fans questioned her appearance because of her history of supporting LGBTQ+ causes and human rights.
Green also responded to the criticism then, saying that her WWE work did not erase her personal views.
“Doing my job and supporting the community are not mutually exclusive. I’ll continue to do what I can to advocate for human rights whether you approve or not.”
It is also worth remembering that, in March 2025, Green had already spoken publicly on the subject, saying she had shared locker rooms and bathrooms with people of all genders, while also revealing that she has trans family members.
“I hate to break it to you but not only have I shared locker rooms with all genders, I’ve also shared bathrooms. So no, I wouldn’t give a fck. In fact, I’ve got family members that are trans so I’ve given not just 10 seconds of thought to this, but close to 30 years and 10 seconds of thought. If you’d like to take your bigotry elsewhere, I would greatly appreciate that ♥️.”
