Chelsea Green may be headed toward a new feud over the WWE Women’s Championship. On the October 9 episode of SmackDown, Nikki Bella once again showed interest in the title Green currently holds.
In a backstage interview with Cathy Kelley, Green was asked about possibly facing a cash-in after Saturday’s Money in the Bank. The champion said she felt very positive about it and was counting on Tiffany Stratton to win the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
Nikki Bella interrupted, however, and made it clear that Green should worry less about the briefcase and more about what Bella has planned for Paige next week.
Bella, a WWE Hall of Famer, also taunted Green. Bella called her nothing more than a knockoff Nikki Bella and said the title deserves someone more willing to carry it.
Bella is set to face Paige on the October 16 SmackDown in Sacramento, California. The two met in September, when Bella picked up a controversial win by using the ropes.
WWE has not made a match between Bella and Green official, but the tension between them could lead to one.
