Cody Rhodes features prominently in the new trailer for Street Fighter, the live-action film based on Capcom’s game franchise. Paramount Pictures released the trailer Tuesday.
Rhodes plays Guile and shows up throughout the trailer sporting the character’s signature blond flat-top. One scene even shows him combing it, as the preview offers new looks at the World Warrior Tournament.
This is the film’s second full trailer. The new footage puts more focus on the dynamic between Ryu, played by Andrew Koji, and Ken Masters, played by Noah Centineo. In the story, both return to competition after Chun-Li, played by Callina Liang, recruits them for the World Warrior Tournament.
Behind the tournament, though, a larger conspiracy threatens the fighters.
Rhodes isn’t the only pro wrestling name in the cast. Roman Reigns plays Akuma, while NJPW’s Hirooki Goto plays E. Honda. Jason Momoa is Blanka, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson plays Balrog, and David Dastmalchian takes on M. Bison.
Rhodes first turned heads during the film’s promotional push in April, when he showed up at CinemaCon fully in character as Guile.
Directed by Kitao Sakurai, Street Fighter opens in U.S. theaters on October 16, 2026.
