Cody Rhodes Reveals an Unexpected Choice as His Biggest Life Regret

Cody Rhodes has finally opened up about what he really thinks of his famous American Nightmare neck tattoo, more than six years after it first drew massive reaction.

On a recent episode of What Do You Wanna Talk About? featuring Santino Marella as a guest, Rhodes admitted he considers the tattoo the biggest regret of his life, though he made it clear he doesn’t blame the artist who did the work.

“I stand by the fact that the artist is great but i will also reveal that this is the greatest regret in my life.”

Despite that, the American Nightmare completely ruled out ever having the tattoo removed.

“i’ll live with it i’m NOT getting it removed.”

Rhodes also said he realized how big of a problem it was the moment he looked in the mirror. The tattoo came out far larger than he expected and extended all the way up to his jawline. He added that he believes Dusty Rhodes would have reacted very negatively had he been alive to see it.

The tattoo was first revealed on February 29, 2020, at AEW Revolution in Chicago, where Cody lost to MJF. The reaction was immediate, with even Brandi Rhodes publicly admitting she wasn’t a fan of her husband’s decision.

A few days later, Cody explained that his goal was to visibly carry the Nightmare Family logo, noting that he wore other people’s brands and wanted to carry his own as well.
