Cody Rhodes’ Tour Bus Apparently Involved in Accident Ahead of WWE SmackDown

Cody Rhodes’ tour bus may have been involved in an accident Friday morning in Houston, hours before tonight’s WWE SmackDown.

A photo circulating on social media shows the Liberty One stopped near Exit 57B of Texas State Highway 249, off West Mount Houston Road, next to a white car with significant damage along its side.

There’s been no confirmation so far on what caused the accident, whether Rhodes was on board, or if anyone was injured.

WWE is still advertising Rhodes for tonight’s SmackDown despite the incident. The American Nightmare is set to sit down for an exclusive interview in what will be his first appearance since losing to Randy Orton at Sunday Night’s Main Event on September 6.

It’s not the first time Rhodes’ bus has run into trouble. In April 2024, just days before WrestleMania 40, the tour bus caught fire overnight in Philadelphia. No one was hurt, and Rhodes went on to make all of his scheduled media appearances.

The September 18 SmackDown airs from the Hilliard Center in Corpus Christi, Texas.
