Danhausen once again caused chaos outside the WWE ring, this time during the NHL’s Stanley Cup Final.
Last Saturday, during Game 3 between the Carolina Hurricanes and Vegas Golden Knights at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Danhausen appeared on the arena video board in a Cameo video purchased by a Golden Knights fan.
In the video, the wrestler called for a Vegas win and cursed the Hurricanes, closing the message with the familiar “Go Knights Go.”
The “curse” quickly gained traction on social media, especially after Carolina suffered a brutal 5-4 loss in double overtime, falling behind 2-1 in the best-of-seven series.
The game itself was complete chaos. Vegas went up 4-0 in the second period, with Mitch Marner scoring the fastest hat trick in Stanley Cup Final history. The Hurricanes responded in the third period, scoring three goals in just 39 seconds before Andrei Svechnikov tied the game in the closing minutes.
Danhausen struck again. The WWE star cursed the Carolina Hurricanes ahead of Stanley Cup Final Game 3, and the Hurricanes went on to lose in overtime, falling behind 2–1 in the series.

Still, in the second overtime, Shea Theodore scored the game-winner after a strange bounce off the boards, with the puck hitting goaltender Brandon Bussi’s skate before going in.
After the game, Danhausen kept the joke going on social media, asking for “human money” to remove the curse from the Hurricanes.
Danhausen had already become a talking point during the NBA playoffs after getting involved, also as a joke, with the New York Knicks’ run. Since then, his supposed ability to curse teams has become a recurring gag among sports fans in the United States.
Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final will take place next Tuesday, once again in Las Vegas, airing on ABC in the United States at 8 p.m. ET.
