Danhausen has once again put himself at the center of a story involving the New York Knicks, this time after one of the most unbelievable comebacks in NBA Finals history.
On Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden, the Knicks trailed the San Antonio Spurs by as many as 29 points before mounting a ridiculous rally and winning 107-106, taking a 3-1 lead in the series. With the win, New York moved within one victory of its first NBA championship since 1973.
Right after the game, Danhausen took to social media and reacted directly to the moment surrounding the franchise:
“Don’t doubt Danhausen. Don’t doubt KNICKSHAUSEN. UNCURSED.”

Danhausen’s connection to the Knicks began back in April, when the wrestler “removed the curse” from the team ahead of the most important stretch of the playoffs. Since then, the story has gained traction among wrestling and basketball fans, especially after the franchise’s positive run.
SportsCenter also posted a special video on the Knicks’ win, noting that New York is now one victory away from the title. The package also included a quick appearance from Danhausen, further strengthening the WWE star’s connection to the team’s historic campaign.
Paul Heyman also got in on the fun, saying the NBA has a great creative team and writers. He compared the Knicks’ comeback to a classic babyface moment, with the heroes overcoming Texas heels at the “World’s Most Famous Arena.”
Game 5 will take place Saturday, June 13, in San Antonio. If the Knicks win again, they will end a 53-year NBA championship drought.
