Dominik Mysterio has taken another shot at his father, Rey Mysterio, over an old social media post.

The post, made to promote WWE ’13, became well known because Rey said he couldn’t wait to “beat my kids” in the game.

In a new interview with Ring Rust Radio, Dominik disputed the claim and said his father has never been able to beat him. He also called Rey a compulsive liar.

“That was a lie,” Dominik said. “He’s never beaten me in a video game. Yeah, he’s a liar. A compulsive liar.”

Rey posted the original message to X on October 29, 2012, when he got his copy of WWE ’13. At the time, he said he planned to play it on a bus ride and wrote that he was also looking forward to beating his kids.

The tweet resurfaced in April 2023, when Rey defeated Dominik at WrestleMania 39. During the match, Rey even took off his belt to hit Dominik, who had turned heel and joined The Judgment Day months earlier.

The video game jabs continued in 2024. In July of that year, Dominik criticized Rey’s selection as a playable character in Call of Duty.

Dominik and Rey will be featured in the upcoming DLC for WWE 2K26. 2K announced that Dominik will appear as Ken and Rey as Ryu in the WWE 2K26 X Street Fighter Elite Pack.

Dominik has said he plans to use Ken to take on Rey in the game. The new pack is set to be released on Wednesday and will be sold separately from the game’s editions.
