WWE announced an important change to the Intercontinental Championship match between Chad Gable and Dragon Lee. Rey Mysterio will also be part of the match, which will be a Triple Threat Match on Monday’s episode of Monday Night RAW.
The new stipulation also brings an important change, as Gable could lose the title even without being pinned if Mysterio or Dragon Lee defeats the other.
Gable won the Intercontinental Championship by defeating Penta on the second night of SummerSlam in August in Minneapolis. Mysterio was Gable’s first challenger on RAW in Buffalo, New York. Gable won the match by pinfall.
Dragon Lee also faced Gable for the Intercontinental Championship on the Sept. 14 RAW in Mexico City. Gable won the match by submission.
Mysterio and Lee have even helped Gable. On the June 15 Raw, the duo stopped an attack by Rusev and Ethan Page on Gable.
Last week, Mysterio defeated Big Cass with Lee’s help.
Gable also defended the title last week. On the Oct. 12 RAW, Gable defeated Rey Fenix by submission, retaining the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
Monday’s episode of RAW will be held at Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California. The show will air on Netflix starting at 8 p.m. ET.
