Ethan Page Won’t Let Fans Dictate His WWE Goals

Ethan Page has made no secret of his desire to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship since arriving on Raw, and he has no plans to let fans’ opinions change his goals.

On the September 7 episode of Raw, Page faced Bron Breakker and Rey Mysterio in a Triple Threat qualifying match for the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Breakker hit Mysterio with a Spear for the win. The result ended any chance Page had of winning the briefcase this year.

In a recent interview with Soundsphere, Page said he faced criticism from people who felt that going after the briefcase and the Intercontinental Championship at the same time was too much for him.

“When I was competing to get into the Money in the Bank match, I had some comments post-match that it got back to me that fans thought it was a little silly that I was planning to win the Money in the Bank and go after the Intercontinental Championship,” Page said. “I’d like to bring something to the attention of these bozos who flippantly share their opinions. I don’t care what you want.”

Page went on to say that none of his goals will be determined by what fans consider important and that he plans to win every championship and hit every career milestone he has set for himself.

“Before I die, I plan on achieving all of my goals and dreams, and one of those is the Intercontinental Championship,” he said. “So as I chase my goals and dreams in my very specific order to appease my ego and my dreams in my life, I ask that you please keep all your opinions to yourselves on my choices because ultimately, the only thing you’re choosing is what to order in the fast food waiting line.”

As previously reported, the Intercontinental Championship became Page’s top target soon after his call-up to Raw. He received a title shot against Penta at Saturday Night’s Main Event in May but came up short.

Chad Gable is the current Intercontinental Champion, having defeated Penta at SummerSlam on August 2.
