LA Knight will get one of the biggest opportunities of his career tonight, October 10, when he faces Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Money in the Bank.
In a recent interview with Metro UK, Knight discussed how fans have responded to his chances of finally winning a world championship in WWE.
“Look, I’m not deaf. It’s definitely not as big as it was when the hope was at its highest… But you can tell it’s still there. The people still want it. I’m just not sure that they entirely believe it right now, and I get that.”
Knight also acknowledged that fans are reacting far more positively to Reigns now than they did the first time the two met.
Knight lost to Reigns at Crown Jewel 2023 in a match for what was then the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Knight came very close to winning that night before Jimmy Uso’s involvement decided the match.
At the Royal Rumble in January 2024, Knight received another title shot, this time in a Fatal 4-Way match that also included Randy Orton and AJ Styles, but he again came away without the title.
WWE has confirmed that Knight vs. Reigns will open Money in the Bank.
