Finn Bálor and Dominik Mysterio may have ended their long Judgment Day partnership on ugly terms, but Bálor still has nothing but high praise for his former stablemate’s future in WWE.
Speaking with Nina Drama at a recent Zuffa Boxing event, Bálor said Mysterio can make just about everything look natural, going so far as to call him “annoyingly cool.”
The former Universal Champion believes Dominik is still on the rise and predicted he’ll become a far bigger star than he already is.
The comments are especially notable given their recent history. Bálor was kicked out of the Judgment Day earlier this year, ending a run with the faction that lasted nearly four years. The split led to a Street Fight between the two at WrestleMania 42, which Bálor won competing as The Demon.
Meanwhile, Dominik continues to hold an important position outside WWE as well. Dirty Dom is still the reigning AAA Mega Champion and already has his next title defense set against El Grande Americano at Triplemanía 34.
Even after a deeply personal rivalry, Bálor clearly believes Mysterio’s ceiling is far from reached. The fact that Dominik is juggling top storylines in WWE while holding a major championship in AAA underscores the kind of role he’s carved out for himself in recent years.
