Natalya revealed that she tried to convince Vince McMahon to approve different ideas aimed at getting more women involved at WrestleMania, mainly through matches tied to the tag team division.

During an appearance on Busted Open Radio, the veteran said she always tries to include as many women as possible when pitching creative ideas to WWE. Chelsea Green, who was also on the show, backed that up and said Natalya pushes for those kinds of ideas every year.

“When I pitch ideas, one thing that really helps is being inclusive. I make sure a lot of women are involved.”

Natalya also said that, for three straight years, she pitched McMahon on a women’s gauntlet match at WrestleMania. The winner would then face the tag team champions the following night.

The former SmackDown Women’s Champion also suggested a Fatal 4-Way involving four teams, with the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on the line. According to her, the idea was simple: get more women on the card at the Showcase of the Immortals.

Despite those pitches, WWE never ran that exact gauntlet format across the two nights of WrestleMania. The company has, however, used four-team matches for the Women’s Tag Team Championship, including at WrestleMania 35 and WrestleMania 38.

Natalya was part of both of those matches, teaming with Beth Phoenix in 2019 and Shayna Baszler in 2022. As of now, there is no indication that WWE plans to revisit any of the ideas she brought forward.
