The building was also the site of Rhino’s AEW debut on May 7, 2025. He challenged Nick Wayne for the ROH World Television Championship on Dynamite, but Wayne retained after hitting Killswitch.
Rhino remained involved during the company’s second night in Detroit. At the ROH tapings held around Collision on May 8, he teamed with Hologram to defeat The Frat House.
The Detroit native was the final ECW World Heavyweight Champion in the original promotion. He won the title from The Sandman at Guilty as Charged in January 2001 and held it when ECW ceased operations.
