Add as a preferred source on Google TNA has invited newly signed Philadelphia 76ers star LeBron James to appear on the July 30, 2026, episode of Thursday Night iMPACT! at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia.
In a statement issued Wednesday, TNA offered the four-time NBA champion the role of Official Title Holder for the TNA World Championship match between Nic Nemeth and Jeff Hardy.
The invitation comes two days after the 76ers announced James’ signing. James, 41, will begin his 24th NBA season and try to end the 76ers’ title drought, which dates back to 1983.
James has previous ties to pro wrestling. In 2013, he publicly asked for a WWE World Heavyweight Championship and received the belt from The Rock. The following year, James gave custom replica titles to his Miami Heat teammates.
Nemeth will make the second defense of his current reign. He won the TNA World Championship from Mike Santana at Slammiversary on June 28, 2026, and retained against KC Navarro last week.
Hardy is looking to win the TNA World Championship for the fourth time.
Thursday will mark the first singles match between Nemeth and Hardy with a world title on the line.
Thursday Night iMPACT! will air live at 9 p.m. ET on AMC and AMC+.
