Otis made his return on Monday’s WWE RAW.
The former RAW Tag Team Champion hadn’t been seen on TV in six weeks and was back during The Vision’s opening segment on the September 7 show at Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama. After Akira Tozawa interrupted the group, Austin Theory confronted the Alpha Academy member.
Otis then appeared and rushed to the ring, which led to a match between him and Theory.
Otis controlled stretches of the match, but it ended in a disqualification when Bronson Reed attacked him from behind. The Vision continued the beatdown, and Bron Breakker connected with a Spear on Otis.
The group also went after Tozawa, but Oba Femi appeared on the arena screen, shifting the focus to The Rules.
Otis’ most recent match had been on the July 27 RAW at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. He and Tozawa lost to World Tag Team Champions Bron Breakker and Austin Theory in a non-title match.
After the match, The Vision continued the attack. Maxxine Dupri distracted Otis, giving Breakker and Theory an opening. Theory closed the segment by hitting Otis in the head with a steel chair, and WWE used the attack to write him off television indefinitely.
