Add as a preferred source on Google GUNTHER says he has not formed another faction since Imperium ended because he has no interest in forcing an alliance that does not develop naturally.
Speaking on Complex Graps Wrestling Podcast, GUNTHER explained that Imperium worked because its members shared an authentic connection. Any future partnership, he said, would need to have the same personal foundation.
“The group was there because it was authentically and naturally there. But otherwise, to be in an alliance with someone, in a working alliance, it has to really click on a personal level naturally for that to work.
With Imperium it was a natural fit. Besides that, I don’t have any big allegiances. I try to stick to myself and focus on my work. I don’t see how that would benefit me at the moment.
The majority of my career I’ve been a solo act, and I feel comfortable in that role and always did. So, yeah, I’m not missing anything.”
Imperium grew out of relationships that predated WWE, including GUNTHER and Ludwig Kaiser’s time together in Ringkampf. Giovanni Vinci was removed from the WWE group in April 2024, while GUNTHER and Kaiser quietly went their separate ways later that year.
Kaiser subsequently said the decision to separate was made jointly with GUNTHER as he sought to establish himself independently.
