Fatal Influence’s Jacy Jayne scored the biggest win of her WWE career on Friday’s SmackDown, defeating Tiffany Stratton at the TD Garden in Boston to capture the Women’s United States Championship.
Stratton entered the match already banged up. Earlier in the night, she tried to make the save for Chelsea Green during a beatdown from Nia Jax and Lash Legend, but the Irresistible Forces laid her out. Stratton was later shown backstage dealing with significant rib pain but confirmed she would still defend the title.
When the match got underway, Jayne had Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid in her corner. Chelsea Green came out during the bout to try to even the numbers, but it wasn’t enough.
Down the stretch, Fallon attempted to interfere but was cut off by Green. Stratton then dove to the outside and wiped out the Fatal Influence members before quickly sliding back in to continue the fight.
Jayne was ready for her, though. The moment Stratton returned to the ring, Jayne hit the Rolling Encore and scored the pinfall to win the championship.
With tonight’s victory, Jayne captures the Women’s United States Championship for the first time in her career.
