Je’Von Evans carries a special memory from John Cena’s final event as a WWE wrestler. The young talent was part of the Saturday Night’s Main Event card on December 13, 2025, at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., the same night Cena closed out his in-ring career.
Speaking with Chris Van Vliet in a recent interview, Evans reflected on what it meant to be part of such a historic night.
“Just being able to wrestle on his last show was such an honor and blessing.”
Evans teamed with Leon Slater against AJ Styles and Dragon Lee. The veteran duo picked up the win after Styles hit the Styles Clash on Slater. After the match, all four competitors embraced in the ring in a show of respect.
Beyond the match, Evans’ time on the show also came with a lesson from Cena. The former wrestler spoke with him about his in-ring style and the need to adjust his pacing.
“He’s like “Oh, what’s up OG?”, he’s giving me advice about one of my recent matches and how like I can slow it down..”
Evans has previously shared that Cena advised him to slow things down in bigger arenas, giving fans farther from the ring enough time to follow and absorb the moves.
