Bron Breakker and Oba Femi will collide in one of the biggest matches of their careers at Sunday Night’s Main Event on September 6, but WWE may avoid delivering a decisive outcome.
On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said he expects the match to end without a clear-cut finish.
The match was made official on the August 17 Monday Night RAW. Breakker called Femi out to the ring and told him that if he truly wants to be considered the future of the company, he needs to take that spot from him. Paul Heyman stepped in before things turned physical, revealing that he had already arranged the match with Adam Pearce.
The bout will take place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, marking the first-ever singles match between Breakker and Femi in WWE.
Femi heads into the match riding the momentum of his Hell in a Cell victory over Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam, a win that further elevated his standing on the roster. Breakker, meanwhile, has grown increasingly frustrated with Femi being positioned as WWE’s next big thing.
Before Sunday Night’s Main Event, the two will come face to face once more. WWE has confirmed a contract signing for the August 24 RAW.
