Bron Breakker and Oba Femi will finally settle the debate over who is the true future of WWE inside the ring.
On Monday’s RAW in Buffalo, New York, Breakker hit the ring and called out Femi for a fight. Paul Heyman came out first, but before he could get a word in, Femi appeared and went face to face with Breakker.
Breakker suggested they handle it right then and there. Heyman held his ally back, though, and revealed that he had already spoken with Adam Pearce. He then announced Bron Breakker vs. Oba Femi for Sunday Night’s Main Event on June 9 in Atlanta.
The event takes place at State Farm Arena and streams exclusively on Peacock. Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton is also confirmed for the card. This will mark the first Sunday Night’s Main Event in WWE history.
The rivalry between Breakker and Femi heated up after SummerSlam. Femi defeated Brock Lesnar in a Hell in a Cell Match in the main event and was acknowledged by the Beast Incarnate himself as the future of WWE.
Breakker didn’t take kindly to that label. On the October 8 RAW, he pressed Heyman on who he considered the future of WWE. Heyman told him he would continue to respect Femi until Breakker gave him a reason to think otherwise.
