Add as a preferred source on Google Jim Ross, who hasn’t called an AEW show since Double or Nothing in May, said he’s planning to return to the company at All In: London, set for August 30 at Wembley Stadium.
During a recent episode of Grilling JR, the WWE Hall of Famer confirmed that his surgery is scheduled for August. The procedure will place a shunt to drain excess fluid from his brain, an issue that has affected his memory and balance following a hospital stay of nearly 40 days.
“I have my sights set on the UK and Wembley.”
AEW has not confirmed Ross’s appearance despite that goal, and it will depend on how his recovery goes in the weeks following the procedure. He is expected to spend a few days in the hospital before returning home.
The choice of All In continues a pattern for Ross. In 2025, he underwent surgery for colon cancer and set All In: Texas as his target for returning to work. He was able to appear at that pay-per-view.
Discussing the surgery set for August, Ross sounded confident: “Yeah, that’s it. I’ll be ready to go.”
Also unresolved is his contract status. Ross’s current deal with AEW is set to expire in August, and no renewal has been announced at this point.
