Joe Hendry already has a major name in mind for his new phase on Monday Night RAW. After recently joining WWE’s main roster, the Scottish star named CM Punk as one of the opponents he most wants to face.

During an appearance on Insight with Chris Van Vliet Live in Tampa, Hendry was asked about his next goals in the company. He initially mentioned Logan Paul, but shifted focus after noticing the crowd’s reaction when Punk’s name came up.

“I really want to wrestle CM Punk. I have had the opportunity to train with him in the ring at Ace Steel’s, but I’ve never wrestled him.”

“You guys want to see Joe Hendry versus CM Punk.”

In a recent interview, Hendry said his time in NXT was one of the biggest challenges of his career, mainly because he worked under different visions from names like Shawn Michaels, Terry Taylor, and Triple H.

Punk, meanwhile, has been off WWE programming since the post-WrestleMania 42 episode of RAW, when he confronted Cody Rhodes after losing the World Heavyweight Championship to Roman Reigns. So far, the company has not announced a date for his return.
