Kendal Grey has been medically cleared to return to the ring after more than a month out of action. She revealed the news during a backstage segment with Wren Sinclair on Tuesday’s WWE NXT.

Grey suffered an injury to her right ear during an NXT Underground match against Lola Vice on Aug. 4. She kept wrestling but developed balance issues, which worsened after she lost the NXT Women’s Championship to Kelani Jordan at NXT Heatwave.

Doctors diagnosed her with vertigo but ruled out a concussion. Grey was reevaluated in September and was told she would need more time on the sidelines.

Sinclair expressed concern about Grey’s recovery during an appearance on Busted Open Radio. She said Grey had insisted on wrestling through the injury but needed to respect her body’s limits.

Grey also made it clear that she plans to back Sinclair in her bid to win the NXT Women’s Championship. Sinclair is set to challenge Jordan for the title at Halloween Havoc on Oct. 31.

General Manager Robert Stone made the match official on Tuesday’s show, despite Jordan’s complaints about Sinclair competing in the battle royal that earned her the title shot.

No date has been announced for Grey’s first match back.
