Kevin Knight used Saturday’s Collision to challenge Chris Jericho to an AEW TNT Championship match on next week’s Dynamite in Las Vegas.
The challenge came out of last Wednesday’s AEW Grand Slam: Mexico, where Knight teamed with Kazuchika Okada and Hechicero against Darby Allin, Místico, and Jericho.
Late in the match, Knight went for his Coast-to-Coast on Allin, but Jericho cut him off with the Judas Effect. Allin followed with the Coffin Drop and pinned the TNT Champion to pick up the win for his team.
On Collision, Knight was asked about Allin’s Falls Count Anywhere challenge for the TNT title at All In London but didn’t commit to accepting. Instead, he blamed Jericho for costing him the match in Mexico.
Jericho was the first AEW World Champion in company history but has never held the TNT title. Knight has been champion since Dynasty, where he won a Casino Gauntlet Match for the vacant belt.
