Add as a preferred source on Google In the first week of Verano de Escándalo at Arena San Marcos in Aguascalientes, La Hiedra and Laredo Kid defeated Lola Vice and Mr. Iguana. The win earned them the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship.
The match was closely contested, with all four wrestlers getting clear chances to win. Vice controlled much of the action in her exchanges with La Hiedra.
In the closing moments, however, Vice hit a superkick on La Hiedra and nearly put the match away, but Laredo broke up the pin. Iguana countered with an Iguanarana on the outside, but was then thrown into the steel steps.
Back in the ring, La Hiedra seized the opening, hit a face-first slam on Vice, and pinned her to end the match.
This is La Hiedra’s second reign with the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship. Her first came alongside Mr. Iguana himself, running from August 12, 2024, to February 11, 2025, a total of 329 days. For Laredo Kid, this is his first time winning the title.
Vice and Iguana had held the titles since July 2, when they defeated Ethan Page and La Hiedra, who was filling in for Chelsea Green. Their reign ended after 168 days.
