Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods are officially free agents.
Their 90-day non-compete clauses expired Friday, July 31, leaving both former New Day members eligible to sign elsewhere.
Kingston and Woods departed May 2. Bodyslam’s Cory Hays reported that the sides mutually agreed to part ways, ending Kingston’s 20-year association and Woods’ 16-year run. Kingston signed in 2006, Woods in 2010, and they formed The New Day with Big E in 2014. Kingston became WWE Champion at WrestleMania 35, while Woods won King of the Ring in 2021.

The pair have used Kofi and Austin Creed for appearances since their exits. On July 29, they released the animated short “Daybreak”, showing two unicorns escaping a circus before Kofi and Creed walk into the sunset. Kingston last wrestled on the April 17 SmackDown, while Woods’ most recent match came in a Royal Rumble dark match before an injury sidelined him.
Their next move hasn’t been announced. Fightful Select reported in May that every AEW source it contacted about the duo wanted the company to sign them, including some big names.
