Enzo Amore may be closer to a WWE return than many expected in recent weeks. Speculation picked up after the former Cruiserweight Champion was spotted at the Performance Center in Orlando ahead of last week’s episode of NXT.

According to Fightful Select, some independent promoters were told that Amore would not be accepting future bookings he would normally take. That has led to the belief that he could be on his way back to WWE.

What makes the situation even more interesting involves Big Cass, currently known as Big Bill in AEW. His contract with Tony Khan’s company is believed to run at least through the end of May, with a chance it could expire either at the end of this month or in early June.

Bill has also wrestled only twice in 2026 and has not competed since February.

As previously reported here at Wrestling Noticias, WWE has interest in reuniting the former tag team. The report also notes that Enzo and Cass remain on good terms with company producers, including people who worked with them during their NXT days.

It is worth remembering that Enzo left WWE in January 2018. Cass also departed later that year amid personal and behavioral issues.

As of now, nothing has been officially announced.
