Rey Fenix will put the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship on the line in a fatal four-way at TripleMania 34 Night 2, defending against Mini Vikingo, Nathan Frazer, and Jack Cartwheel.
The match came together at Sunday’s AAA Ola de Calor at the Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas. Vikingo, Frazer, and Cartwheel were originally booked in a triple threat to determine the number-one contender for Fenix’s title.
The bout ended in a time-limit draw, leaving the number-one contender spot unsettled. Fenix came out afterward, praised all three competitors, and proposed taking on all three at once at TripleMania 34.
The fatal four-way also gives Mini Vikingo another crack at the champion. Fenix already turned back Vikingo on August 1 at Verano de EscĂĄndalo to retain the title.
Most recently, Fenix also retained against EK Prosper on last Tuesday’s WWE NXT.
Fenix captured the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship on May 30, defeating Laredo Kid at Noche de Los Grandes.
TripleMania 34 Night 2 takes place September 13 at Arena CDMX in Mexico City.
