Rey Mysterio is set to return to AAA action, taking on Omos on night one of Triplemanía 34 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The match was made official during Sunday’s Ola de Calor, coming out of the contract signing between Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano for the AAA Mega Championship.
Dominik refused to sign unless Omos’s suspension was lifted, prompting Rey, the current AAA General Manager, to threaten to strip the title from his own son.
Omos then showed up despite being banned from company events, revealing he had bought a ticket. He got in Rey’s face, and Rey lost his cool and attacked him. The brawl ended with Dominik also going after El Grande Americano.
Once order was restored, Rey offered Omos a way back into AAA, officially setting up the match at Triplemanía 34. If Omos wins, his suspension will be lifted. If Rey wins, Omos will be permanently expelled from the company.
Omos was suspended on the August 22 episode of AAA after attacking Galeno and putting his hands on Rey Mysterio.
Rey Mysterio vs. Omos is currently the only match officially announced for night one of Triplemanía 34, set for September 11 at the Luxor Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
