Add as a preferred source on Google Big Cass is back in WWE after more than eight years away. He returns on tonight’s episode of RAW, live from Casey’s Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
WWE has aired vignettes over the past few weeks that ended with an on-screen date of 8/3. Cass wasn’t named in the first teaser, but the video included “SAWFT” signs, old merchandise tied to him, and his silhouette, leaving little doubt who was being hyped.
His last WWE match came on June 17, 2018, a loss to Daniel Bryan at Money in the Bank. The company announced his release two days later.

After leaving WWE, William Morrissey rebuilt his career in TNA and later AEW, where he worked as Big Bill. He signed with Tony Khan’s promotion in August 2022 and won the AEW World Tag Team Titles with Ricky Starks.
His final match on AEW programming came on February 7. His last match anywhere was on the April 6 episode of ROH on HonorClub, where he teamed with Bryan Keith before his contract expired.
Despite rumors of a possible reunion, Enzo Amore didn’t appear in any of the vignettes. That suggests WWE plans to build around Cass’ redemption story, at least to start.
