WWE announced Chelsea Green vs. Roxanne Perez for the Women’s Championship for this week’s Friday Night SmackDown. The show will be held at Toyota Arena in Ontario, California.
The match has been building since the Oct. 12 RAW. Perez defeated Green without the title on the line and, later that night, asked for a shot at the Women’s Championship. Adam Pearce said he would talk to Nick Aldis about the matter. On last week’s SmackDown, Aldis confirmed that the situation had already reached him.
The two have also had their roles reversed before. On May 7, 2024, Perez was the NXT Women’s Champion and defended the title against Green. She won and remained champion.

Friday’s defense puts extra pressure on WWE’s plans for the coming weeks. Green is set to face Liv Morgan for the Women’s Crown Jewel Championship on Nov. 7.
There is also another possible conflict. On last Friday’s SmackDown, Green and Nikki Bella scheduled a match for the WWE Women’s Championship for the Oct. 30 episode.
