Max Caster’s departure from AEW hasn’t changed the way he talks about Tony Khan.

During a virtual signing, Caster discussed the role Khan plays in the livelihoods of a number of people in pro wrestling.

On the K&S WrestleFest livestream, Caster said he is still living off the money he made during his five years with AEW and praised Khan for the financial support he gives wrestlers.

“I always gotta shout out Tony Khan, because he’s supporting a lot of wrestlers’ living right now… including me,” Caster said. “I’m still living off AEW money… That’s a guy who, for whatever reason in his heart, is supporting wrestling and supporting wrestlers.”

Caster left AEW at the beginning of October, when his contract expired. He last wrestled for the company in December 2025, but he had a notable run there. He won the AEW World Tag Team Championship with Anthony Bowens and the AEW World Trios Championship with Bowens and Billy Gunn.

Caster previously spoke about his working relationship with Khan in an interview with AllHipHop in July 2022. At the time, he said the idea of teaming with Bowens as The Acclaimed came from Khan himself, who also encouraged him to keep rapping during his entrances. He said he and Bowens were given creative freedom to develop their characters.

Ric Flair also spoke recently about Khan’s generosity. In an interview with Biff Poggi of NewsNation, Flair said he is still under contract with AEW even though he doesn’t have a regular role. Flair believes Khan keeps him with the company out of respect for his career.

Caster’s comments came after his controversial TNA debut at Bound for Glory on October 11. He faced Moose, but TNA ended his run after the backlash to his entrance rap, in which he referenced bombs in Saudi Arabia.

During the same signing, Caster said he is turning down new bookings for now but has not ruled out a return to AEW in the future.
