WWE is putting together a special edition of NXT to go head-to-head with AEW Dynamite, and John Cena and Cody Rhodes are among those announced for the show.
In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Nick Khan ordered a stacked lineup for NXT after the show was moved to Wednesday.
“NXT would have to load up given they are on an unfamiliar night,” Meltzer wrote. “Nick Khan allegedly already made that call.”
This adds to Bryan Alvarez’s report from Thursday that those in charge of NXT were told to load up the show. But Alvarez did not say who gave the order.

The CW was behind the move to Wednesday. The network moved NXT so that midterm election night coverage on Tuesday wouldn’t disrupt the show on several affiliates.
Cena is set to make a live appearance on the show. Noam Dar & Romeo Moreno will face Hank Walker & Tank Ledger in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic final, and Rhodes will present the Dusty Cup to the winners.
AEW has announced two Blood & Guts matches for that night, one for the men and one for the women. Dynamite will take place at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida.
