MJF Accused of Heated Backstage Arguments With Women in AEW

MJF is once again at the center of backstage controversy in AEW. The former AEW World Champion is being accused of getting into heated arguments with women on the roster and creating friction among talent in the company.

The allegations were made by Duke, host of Duke Loves Rasslin, during a conversation with WWE Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley. Duke claimed that sources within AEW have described MJF as a “tyrant” who runs to Tony Khan whenever he has issues with other talent.

Duke also alleged that MJF has gotten into arguments with women backstage:

“He’s actually had shouting matches with some of the women in that company. And this is a fact.”

It should be noted that D-Von Dudley did not specifically confirm the accusations against MJF. The veteran only acknowledged that he and Duke receive information from sources connected to AEW’s locker room. None of the alleged new incidents have been independently confirmed at this time.

MJF has been involved in a similar situation before. On July 17, 2024, he and Britt Baker got into a backstage argument at AEW Dynamite. Fightful confirmed at the time that MJF punched a wall following the confrontation, while Baker was suspended after an internal investigation. The outlet also clarified that MJF did not force his way into the women’s locker room, as some versions of the story had alleged.

MJF later said the report was largely exaggerated. Will Ospreay also described the entire Baker situation as blown out of proportion compared to what actually happened.

Despite the latest controversy, MJF remains part of AEW’s plans going forward. He recently earned the number two entry in the Casino Gauntlet Match at All In London, scheduled for August 30 at Wembley Stadium.
