Triple H Accused of Backstage Manipulation in WWE

Paul London has once again leveled serious accusations at Triple H, nearly 18 years after leaving WWE, this time revisiting a controversial angle involving Brian Kendrick.

Appearing on Rewind Recap Relive alongside Vaughn Vertigo, London said his personal dealings with Triple H behind the scenes left him with a deeply negative impression. The conversation touched on several topics, including the well-known segment where London and Kendrick came to Triple H’s aid only to eat a Pedigree moments later.

London pulled no punches when discussing WWE’s current head of creative.

“Hunter’s like one of the most insecure people you’ll ever come across, which is probably why he got into bodybuilding because he’s a pathetic—just, he’s not a good person. And so he hides behind all this s***, you know what I mean? Like a fake body and like a fake personality and like a fake, ‘Oh yeah, we’re on the same team. Oh yeah. Oh no, it’s for your best interest.’ Like he’s just such a snake.”

London also said that before the segment, Triple H repeatedly stressed that the idea wasn’t his, pinning it on then-executive Kevin Dunn.

“‘And we’re going to be doing something today on TV. It’s going to be live. But we’re gonna be working today. Wasn’t my idea. Just remember, it’s Kevin Dunn’s idea. Wasn’t my idea, by the way. But we’re going to be doing the thing later. We’ll get with you guys later. But it’ll be, you know, it’ll be good. I think it’s going to be—again, it wasn’t my idea. It was Kevin Dunn’s idea.’ Like it was just like, ‘What the f***?'”

The segment aired on the September 17, 2007 episode of Raw. London and Kendrick made the save for Triple H after an attack by Carlito, Lance Cade, and Trevor Murdoch, only for Triple H to attack them himself moments later.

London and Kendrick were a featured act in the tag division during that era. They held the WWE Tag Team Championship for 333 days between 2006 and 2007 and later captured the World Tag Team Championship as well.
