Add as a preferred source on Google MJF stirred up pro-wrestling fans on social media with a post that appeared to reference The New Day, just hours after Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods exited WWE.
On his Instagram Story, the AEW star shared the phrase It’s a new day… yes it is, the classic catchphrase used by Kofi, Woods and Big E throughout the group’s long run in Stamford.
The post landed amid one of the biggest New Day developments in more than a decade. Fightful Select reports that Kingston and Woods left WWE by mutual agreement, and both have already been moved to the Alumni section of the company’s official website.
There is still no concrete indication that Kingston and Woods are headed to AEW. Even so, the timing of MJF’s post was enough to fuel speculation among fans.
Their futures remain unclear. Kingston had been with WWE since 2006, while Woods signed with the company in 2010.
