Penta and Je’Von Evans are the new World Tag Team Champions. At Saturday’s Crown Jewel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, they defeated Bron Breakker and Austin Theory of The Vision.
The title match was set up on the October 26 RAW. That night, Evans challenged Sami Zayn for the Undisputed WWE Championship, and Penta came to the ring with the Money in the Bank briefcase, but Breakker attacked him before he could try to cash in. After the match, The Vision laid out both men, which led Adam Pearce to make the title match for Crown Jewel.
Saturday’s match had a lot of interference. Maxxine Dupri distracted the referee and put Theory’s foot on the ropes to stop a pin. Later, Bronson Reed pulled Penta out of the ring, hit him with a Death Valley Driver on the floor, and threw Evans over the barricade.

But shortly after The Vision nearly won with the Doomsday Bulldog, the arena lights went out and Oba Femi showed up out of nowhere. Femi, who has been feuding with The Vision in recent months, went after Reed and powerbombed him off the stage through a table.
The distraction allowed the challengers to take over. From the top rope, Penta hit a Destroyer on Breakker to the floor. Evans took advantage and hit the OG Cutter to get the pin and win the titles with Penta.
The win gives Evans his first title in WWE. It’s Penta’s second title in the company. The first was the Intercontinental Championship, which he held for 153 days before losing it to Chad Gable at SummerSlam in August. Penta also still holds the Money in the Bank briefcase, which he won back in October in New Orleans in a ladder match that included Evans and Breakker.
