Orange Cassidy has finally explained one of the most defining details of his AEW character.

In a recent interview with WFMJ, Cassidy said wrestling with his hands in his pockets is not just a visual trait, but a way to humiliate arrogant opponents.

“You know those arrogant people? They just talk and they talk… So I teach them a lesson. I put my hands in my pockets and then I beat them, which is probably the ultimate disrespect, I feel like. If someone beats you getting your hands tied behind your back. Same idea.”

The comment stands out because Cassidy has turned that style into one of AEW’s most recognizable trademarks.

Cassidy is currently one-third of the AEW World Trios Champions alongside Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly. The trio has been featured regularly on AEW programming, especially in matches involving the Don Callis Family.

Cassidy also has one of the most important runs in the history of the AEW International Championship. His first title reign lasted 326 days.
