Paige has made it clear that the Bella Twins’ turn at SummerSlam isn’t something she plans to let slide. Just over a week removed from the pay-per-view, the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion had plenty of promises to make.
Speaking during a Q&A at Comic Con Wales, held last weekend at the ICC Wales in Newport, Paige told fans they haven’t seen the best of her since she returned to WWE.
“I came back, you know, as Paige after eight years. It was really cool to be back. But I came back in a tag to help them out. But you know they haven’t seen the best of me yet. You know we’re going to go into a singles competition, and I’m going to win those women’s champion championships after I beat their f**king ass. You heard it here.”
The Anti-Diva also revealed she had been suspicious of Nikki as far back as WrestleMania 42, where she returned to replace Nikki and captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Brie.
“You just get that vibe from Nikki out the gate there. You know what I mean? Like after after we won the championships at WrestleMania, the hug that she gave me afterwards and the freaking side eyes she was giving me, I was like, “Ah, is it going to be too long until she turns on me? And I kind of expected it at SummerSlam too, especially when I gave Brie a really long hug, you know. I don’t know if you guys notice, but I gave her a long hug after the SummerSlam match, and I was just like, “This feels really sad…I mean, everyone expected it. That’s pretty real, right?”
Paige and Brie dropped the titles to Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid on the July 18 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event.
