Nikki Bella broke her silence on the attack on Paige at WWE SummerSlam, declaring their partnership done.
On Friday’s SmackDown in Philadelphia, Nikki blamed Paige for losing the Women’s Tag Team Championship and for the injury Brie Bella suffered last Saturday.
Nikki said she couldn’t compete at WrestleMania 42 but still supported Brie by bringing Paige back to take her place. Paige and Brie won the titles that night but lost them to Fatal Influence’s Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid at the July 18 Saturday Night’s Main Event.
“I single-handedly revitalized Paige’s career, and how does she repay me? By losing the Tag Titles and leeching onto my sister every chance she could get.”
The feud traces back to SummerSlam. Nikki, Brie and Paige lost to Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid, with Jayne pinning Paige. After the match, the Bella Twins attacked Paige, and Nikki told her she never should have taken her spot.
On SmackDown, Nikki took it further, blaming Paige for Brie’s condition. She said she came back to wrestle alongside her sister, but Paige “failed” again. Nikki vowed to make the rest of Paige’s career miserable.
