Penta reached a major milestone in his WWE run on Wednesday, as the Mexican luchador completed 100 days as Intercontinental Champion.
Penta won the title on the March 2 episode of Monday Night RAW, defeating Dominik Mysterio and ending the Judgment Day member’s reign. He won the match after hitting a Mexican Destroyer, scoring the pinfall and capturing his first championship in WWE.
Since then, Penta has kept a very active schedule as champion. In all, he has made nine title defenses against names such as Je’Von Evans, Ethan Page, El Hijo del Vikingo, Kofi Kingston, Dominik Mysterio, Dragon Lee, El Grande Americano, and Rey Mysterio.
The biggest test of his title reign came at WrestleMania 42, where Penta put the Intercontinental Championship on the line in a Ladder Match against Je’Von Evans, Dragon Lee, JD McDonagh, Rusev, and Rey Mysterio. He managed to leave the Showcase of the Immortals still champion.
Congratulations to Penta for completing 100 Days as Intercontinental Champion 👏 👏 👏

His most recent defense came on this past Monday Night RAW in Paris, where Penta defeated Rey Mysterio in an Intercontinental Championship match.
Penta arrived in WWE in January 2025, making his RAW debut against Chad Gable. He quickly established himself as one of the top names in the red brand’s midcard scene.
With 100 days as champion and nine defenses already behind him, Penta has turned his Intercontinental Championship run into one of the busiest in recent years. Now, the question is who will be the next name to try to end that streak.
