Roman Reigns could be heading toward another break from WWE — at least based on how he’s currently being advertised for upcoming episodes of Monday Night RAW.
The World Heavyweight Champion will defend the title against Seth Rollins at SummerSlam in Minneapolis. Rollins is looking to reclaim the title he never lost, after being forced to vacate it due to injury in 2025.
What stands out is the schedule after the premium live event. Reigns is advertised for the July 27 episode of RAW in Los Angeles, the red brand’s final show before The Biggest Event of the Summer. However, for the August 3, 10, 17, and 24 episodes, Rollins is among the names announced, while the current champion is not listed among the featured talent.
That opens the door to a scenario where Rollins defeats Reigns and recaptures the World Heavyweight Championship, paving the way for a longer absence for the OTC.
So far, though, this remains nothing more than speculation. There’s no reliable report confirming that Reigns will drop the title or be away from WWE for an extended period after the event.
It’s worth remembering that a similar situation played out recently. In May, Reigns was also pulled from advertising for several June shows, but Dave Meltzer explained that it was tied to the fact that he wasn’t part of the plans for Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia, not necessarily a permanent hiatus.
In other words, the absence from advertising could be a strong indicator, but it’s not confirmation.
