MJF has claimed the No. 1 spot on the PWI 500 for the first time in his career. Pro Wrestling Illustrated revealed the top 10 of the 2026 edition on Thursday.
The top spot marks a massive jump for the former AEW World Champion, who came in at No. 30 on the 2025 list. MJF won the AEW World Championship twice during the evaluation period, first in December 2025 and again at Double or Nothing in May.
Cody Rhodes, who topped the list in 2024 and 2025, dropped to No. 2. CM Punk rounds out the top three, up from No. 15 last year.

Trick Williams and Oba Femi cracked the top 10 for the first time, while Yota Tsuji jumped from No. 31 to No. 7. Gunther went the other direction, sliding from No. 3 to No. 10.
Roman Reigns is one of the most notable names missing from the list. But Reigns, the current World Heavyweight Champion, wasn’t even eligible.
The evaluation period ran from August 1, 2025, through July 31, 2026. PWI requires at least 10 singles matches, or six singles matches in separate months, for a wrestler to be eligible. Reigns wrestled only five singles matches in that window. Two came against Bronson Reed and two against Jacob Fatu. The fifth was his WrestleMania 42 match against CM Punk.
That means Reigns’ title defense against Seth Rollins at SummerSlam on August 2 fell outside the window and can only be considered for the 2027 PWI 500.
The print edition of the 2026 PWI 500 is set to hit U.S. stores on October 13.
