Conrad Thompson has once again sharply criticized Roman Reigns, questioning how big a legacy the current World Heavyweight Champion has built in WWE.
During a discussion with Jim Ross on Grilling JR, Thompson addressed whether Reigns belongs on wrestling’s Mount Rushmore. Reigns’ impact and accomplishments were among the main topics of the episode, which was originally released on August 7.
“Never have I ever seen a Roman Reigns T-shirt out in the wild.”
Thompson went further and challenged Reigns’ place among the biggest names in wrestling history.

He closed by comparing Reigns directly to Triple H, saying, “He is just Triple H of 2026.”
Thompson has been highly critical of Reigns before. Following SummerSlam, he went so far as to call Reigns “probably the most overrated main eventer in WWE history.” He also argued that WWE had spent years forcing Reigns into the top spot.
Thompson’s comments drew responses from several figures in the wrestling business. Mark Henry said he does not consider Reigns overrated. MVP flatly rejected the idea that Reigns is merely an “industry plant” created by WWE.
Reigns, however, remains on top in WWE. As previously reported, he won the World Heavyweight Championship by defeating CM Punk at WrestleMania 42.
Most recently, Reigns defeated Penta on the September 14 episode of RAW and is now set to defend the title against LA Knight at Money in the Bank on October 10 in New Orleans.
